Connecting PayFast

With PayFast connected, your invoices get a Pay by card button. The money goes straight into your PayFast account: we never hold it.

Connect it

1. In PayFast, open Settings → Developer settings. Set a passphrase there if you don’t have one yet.
2. Copy your merchant ID, merchant key and passphrase.
3. In Voice 2 Quote, go to Settings → Getting paid → PayFast, enter all three and tap Connect PayFast.

PayFast has no way for us to check the details when you save them, so we’ll know they’re right after the first payment. Try a small payment yourself to be sure.

Your merchant key and passphrase are stored encrypted and never shown again.

Yoco and PayFast together

If both are connected, choose which one clients use under Clients pay by card with in the same place.

When a client pays

The payment is recorded on the invoice by itself once PayFast confirms it.
