Tips for good voice notes
Updated 22 October 2026
A voice note can be up to 3 minutes long. Talk the way you’d explain the job to a colleague: in English, Afrikaans or a mix.
What to say
- Who it’s for and where: “Quote for Priya Naidoo, 12 Oak Street, Durbanville.”
- Quote or invoice: say “quote” or “invoice”. If you don’t, you get a quote.
- Each item and its price: “New 150 litre geyser, five thousand two hundred. Fittings and valves, four fifty.”
- Your rates: say “plus call-out” or “two hours labour” and the app uses your rates.
What the app does with it
The app writes the draft from what you said. A price you didn’t say comes from your price list. When it isn’t sure of something, such as a price or which client you meant, it asks you at the top of the draft instead of guessing. You check everything before you send it.
Under Your note on the draft you can listen to the recording and read what the app heard.
Good to know
- A quiet spot helps, but you don’t need silence.
- No signal? The note is saved on your phone and the draft is made when you’re back online.
